Cuts in services are due primarily to the province refusing to adequately fund public hospitals and develop a committed strategy to properly staff them. Ontario has the lowest per capita hospital funding in Canada . And even given that fact, still chooses to impose real dollar cuts year after year. Please see this link for more details:

The Ontario Health Coalition supports adequate funding for the health care system and social support systems as a matter of principle.
