BLIND RIVER - On April 13, 2018, members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol on Highway 17 east of the Town of Blind River.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m., police observed an eastbound tractor trailer traveling at a speed over 120 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone and a traffic stop was initiated.
As a result of the investigation, the male driver Catlin Cavanaugh, 31 years of age from Alcida, N.B. was issued a provincial offence notice and charged with speeding, contrary to section 128 of the HTA.
