Police seek public's assistance with theft investigation

Numerous items were stolen from a camp north of Elliot Lake, including a snowmobile, five outboard motors, six chainsaws, jewellery, and more

The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for assistance in regards to a break and enter that occurred at a camp north of Elliot Lake sometime between March 31, 2018 and April 3, 2018.

The residence was broken into during that time and several items were stolen; a 2017 Arctic Cat Bear Cat snowmobile, five outboard motors (two 25hp, 6hp Johnson, 2.5hp Suzuki and a 3.5hp Johnson), six Stihl chainsaws (two 372 models, two 350 models, and two other Stihl models), a Honda 3500 watt generator, numerous fishing rods, fishing gear, a metal cross cut saw, Koper hunting and fishing knives, a kids Christmas toy train set, and assorted ladies jewellery.

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this incident should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.
