Chief John Thomas would like to remind everyone that disposing of rechargeable batteries in regular garbage poses a fire risk. Batteries that end up in our landfill may lead to fires like the one experienced last week.
Please hold on to your batteries and dispose of them properly by dropping them off at the Municipal Hazardous Waste Day.
