Students at École catholique Georges Vanier (Elliot Lake) made the best of winter on March 8 as they took part in the school’s annual Winter Carnival.
The day started with some tobogganing in the school yard. Students then warmed up inside with hot chocolate prepared by parent volunteers. Then back outside they went to take part in a variety of games organized by some of the older students. Back inside the students enjoyed a hot dog lunch and finished off the day with delicious maple syrup taffy on snow provided by MishMash – The Fun Shop.
It was a great way for students and staff to finish off the week before heading into March Break.
