The Prime Minister is making a stop in Sault Ste. Marie today.
Justin Trudeau’s Friday visit is expected to coincide with a major announcement from PUC Services Inc., which has been dropping recent hints on social media about some “big news.”
“One day left!!!” PUC wrote in a Thursday post on X, formerly known as Twitter. “We are so excited to share some big news tomorrow."
"Friday is almost here!!" said another post from earlier in the week. "We can't wait to share some big news."
At the moment, the Prime Minister's official itinerary says only that he will be in "Northern Ontario" today. His agenda includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony and stops at a local electricity provider, a housing development and a Royal Canadian Legion.
Trudeau was last in town in July 2021, when he announced up to $420-million in federal support for Algoma Steel’s transition to electric arc furnace steelmaking.
The Prime Minister also visited the Sault in April 2016, March 2018 and May 2019.
SooToday will provide full coverage of Friday's events.
