Get ready for an exciting return this July, as Blind River Community Days is returning after a four-year hiatus. The beloved event, a tradition in the community since the 1950s, is scheduled from July 11 to 14.
"Everybody in the community has wanted it back," says committee member Nathalie Dubois, adding that the special event always brings familiar faces back to the community, making this year's theme of "Bringing it Back" an appropriate slogan that's all about reconnecting, reminiscing and reviving the spirit of the community event.
Over the four days, a diverse range of activities is anticipated, including a movie night in the park, a demolition derby, a parade, and games like laser tag, axe throwing, tug of war, and more. The event also promises vendors, dancing, and a classic car show, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.
"There's always local musicians playing in the park with beer gardens," Dubois adds.
Local volunteers of the Bind River Community Days Committee have been working hard to bring the much-loved event back. All money raised will be used to fund the event for next summer.
