ESPANOLA - One person has been charged, and a stolen vehicle located following a single vehicle collision on Lee Valley Road in the Sables-Spanish Rivers Township.
On Nov. 30, 2024 at approximately 9 p.m., the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a pickup truck in the ditch on Lee Valley Road. Officers on scene discovered that the pickup truck involved in the collision was stolen.
As a result, the driver, Alexander Fournier, 31 years old from Sables-Spanish Rivers Township, has been charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Drive motor vehicle - no licence
- Careless driving
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on Jan. 6, 2025.
