One person is facing charges after allegedly uttering threats during an argument early Tuesday afternoon.

Ontario Provincial Police were called to Ball Park Road in Serpent River First Nation at around 12:30 p.m. on February 4.

“The conversation ended with one person threatening to use baseball bats the next time they met,” OPP said in a news release.

When officers tracked down their suspect, they say the accused was found in the company of someone with whom they were not permitted to associate.

Robert Folz, 41, from Serpent River First Nation was charged with:

  • Uttering threats-cause death or bodily harm
  • Failure to comply with release order-other than to attend court - three counts

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
