OPP seek help solving four cases of arson in Elliot Lake

Three vehicles and a camper trailer have been torched by an unknown person this month

The East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating four cases of arson in Elliot Lake and are looking for the public's assistance.

On Feb. 10, police were called to a church on Ottawa Avenue regarding a pickup truck that was set on fire. 

Then on Feb. 12, 19, and 21, two more vehicles and a camper trailer were set on fire at businesses and a storage lot on Perini Road. 

The vehicles and trailer were parked in the rear area of the properties near Perini Road and Fox Drive, police said in a release.

An unknown person or persons vacated the area prior to the arrival of emergency services. 

Anyone with information on the fires is being asked to immediately contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Business owners were being asked to check security camera footage from the dates when the arsons took place.
