On Jan. 7, 2024 at approximately 8 p.m., the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended an apartment complex on Dunn Road in Elliot Lake to execute an arrest warrant.
Police located Jessica Smythe, 29 years old of Elliot Lake, inside who was wanted for numerous outstanding charges and failing to attend court.
Another person was arrested inside the apartment who also had numerous outstanding charges and two warrants from Edmonton Police Service. In addition, this person was currently on release conditions, one of which was not to leave the province of Alberta.
Tyler McNulty, 37 years old of Elliot Lake, was also charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order - other than to attend court.
Both accused persons are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on Jan. 8, 2024.
