The Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is advising the public of a heavy police presence in the area of Rabbit Island Road and Thomas Road in Wabozominissing, Wikwemikong Unceded Territory.
The Manitoulin OPP is currently assisting the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service (WTPS) with an ongoing investigation.
The public is asked to avoid the area at this time, and people residing in the area should remain vigilant for a suspicious male on foot. If this male is observed, do not approach, and call 911.
