Elliot Lake man arrested on outstanding warrant

The accused failed to comply with conditions on a release order from previous charges of obstruct police, public mischief, and unauthorized possession of a weapon

On Feb. 27, 2025, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a warrant at a residence on Hillside Drive South in Elliot Lake.

The person had failed to comply with conditions on a previous release order, failed to attend for prints, and failed to attend court. These orders were from previous charges of obstruct police, public mischief, and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

On Feb. 27, police attended the person's residence and executed the arrest warrant.

Daniel Ducharme, 38 years old of Elliot Lake, was charged with:

  • Fail to attend for fingerprints - as per Undertaking
  • Fail to attend for court - as per Undertaking
  • Fail to comply with Undertaking

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on Feb. 28, 2025.
