The Ontario Provincial Police seized suspected crack cocaine and brass knuckles following a stolen car investigation.

On April 5, a man reported to the police that two people known to him had taken his red car and refused to return it.

The next day, a witness saw one of the suspects driving the red car on Highway 17 in Elliot Lake, the OPP said in a news release.

The vehicle was later towed from a residence on Bennett Drive, according to police. No arrests were made at that moment.

On April 7 around 7 p.m., police located the two accused in a different vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Hillside Drive South in Elliot Lake. During the arrest, police officers saw that the passenger tried to hide something under the seat and located around 2.7 grams of suspected crack cocaine and brass knuckles.

Police also say they found the keys to the stolen red car in the driver's purse.
