One person is facing charges after allegedly breaking into a Mississauga First Nation house.
OPP were called to Village Road at around 3:45 p.m Tuesday.
Arriving officers say they found the suspect hiding inside the home.
“The person was currently on previous release conditions, one of which was not to be at that residence,” OPP said in a news release.
“The person was also prohibited from being on the First Nation pursuant to the Mississauga First Nation Community Protection Law.”
A 35 year-old from Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation was charged with:
- Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence contrary to the Criminal Code
- Failure to comply with undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code
- Trespassing on Mississauga First Nation land contrary to the Mississauga First Nation Community Protection Law
OPP are withholding the name of the accused in order to protect the identity of the victim.
