We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Bonnie Scholar in her 76th year with family by her side. Loving wife of Jake Scholar for 29 years. Mother of the late Marty Lovelace, mother to Trish (Grant), Lisa (Roni), Jason (Andrea), Kelly (David), Brent (Vicki) and Anna (William). Grama to Sydney, Carly, Brooke, Cassandra, Rosalie, Brayden, Keira, Colton, Deris, Deana, Davis, Greg, Sarah and great grama to Presley, Matthew, Owen, Bradley, Ryleigh, Emma, Kensley and Sophie. Sister to Randy (Cheryl). Predeceased by her first husband Leland Lovelace, her parents Sam and Irene Alberta as well as siblings Joe, Don, Jim and Diane. Forever missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.
Bonnie liked to spend her time at Pine Crest Campground playing Redneck and Washer Toss with her camp friends. She especially enjoyed bonfires and a cold beer.
She was famous for her homemade soups, made with love….M.W.L., that she served at the Golden Rooster Restaurant that she owned.
She worked at Birchland Veneer where she made a lot of lasting friends.
We will forever miss her humour and her dedication to her family.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at both NSHN-Thessalon and Bruce Mines Medical Centre.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Beggs Funeral Home, 175 Main Street, Thessalon on Monday, November 18, 2024, between 7pm and 9pm. Refreshments and snacks will be served.
