It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allain Joseph Roy. Allain was born in rural New Brunswick to Valma and Joseph Roy he was brother to Gisele (Yvon), Donald (Rose), Jean (Noella), Jaqueline (Claude), Rose-Marie (Gilles). He spent his life working in the mines or creating stunning home displays with his ceramic tile business. In his retirement he found joy in all of the home projects he could find himself. If anyone has been to the house they knew the pride and quality workmanship that he put into any project he set himself to. He was an avid fisherman and could be found appreciating many of Elliot Lake’s picturesque fishing spots. He was known by so many as a great man that was straightforward, caring and a little mischievous. He leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Louise, his children Solange, Christian (Amanda), Dennis (Jennifer) and Cecile and his grand children Dustin, Eric, Evan, Alyssa and Amber. We will always remember him as the person who would drop everything to help family or a friend. The sentence “Go ask Pepere” was a staple in our family. He instilled a strong work ethic in all of us. The bond he shared with his wife was beautiful to witness. He has left behind a legacy of love and family. “Allain avec deux L L parce qu’un ange a toujours deux ailes”

A celebration of life will be held at the Moose Lodge on August 31, 2024 from 1 to 4 pm.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
