If my wife of 53 years, Jackileen Cadham Rains, is still alive as you read this, it means she won. Kudos to her, she was a formidable adversary and deserves respect.
Brian Lawrence Rains was born at Matthews Memorial Hospital on St. Joseph Island on a blizzardly November 13, 1950, to the late Laurence Rains and late Marie Smith. He passed away December 20, 2024, at Matthews Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Many thanks to the exceptional staff for their professionalism and compassion during his brief stay. Special thank you to Dr. Hill, Cindy and ADCP staff for their care and support.

He was a skillful Instrumentation Technician, farmer, and sheep whisperer. Well-known by many friends, neighbours, and former colleagues for his quick wit, dry sense of humour, and charm.
