Nov. 17, 1957 - Nov. 27, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our sister, Carrie Lynn Quenneville.
Born and raised in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Carrie Lynn and Yvan moved to Edmonton shortly after their marriage in 1978 where they raised a family for 40 years until Yvan’s passing in 2018. Carrie Lynn remained in the home she and Yvan built together in the early 1980s, where they spent years renovating and enjoying life on the acreage. She was a homebody who enjoyed her morning coffee, reading a good book, and watching her grandchildren (both human and furry) play in the backyard.
Carrie Lynn dedicated 34 years of her life to Elk Island Catholic Schools, beginning as a parent volunteer, and eventually accepting the role of secretary, from which she retired in July 2024. She loved her job and cherished the relationships she built with colleagues and families.
Carrie Lynn was predeceased by her husband, Yvan, parents, Armand and Shirley Abraham. She is survived by her daughters, Lindsay (Brendan) and Katherine; grandchildren, Nora and Evan; her brother, Terry Abraham (Janet, deceased), sisters, Barbara Ritchie (Kim), Paulette Grise (Richard), Laurie Anne, and Kim White (Tim, deceased).
She will be remembered for her strength, her caring nature, and the boundless love she gave to everyone around her.
Carrie Lynn will be laid to rest alongside her husband in Elliot Lake, Ontario, this summer.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Park Place Funeral Home Chapel & Crematorium Ltd., Sherwood Park, Alberta.
