It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Frank Piche, 82, at the North Shore Health Network in Blind River, Ontario.

After a long and courageous battle with COPD, he leaves us to be reunited with his father Theodore and mother Romea (nee Bois).

Beloved husband of 60 years to Lucette (nee Rheault).

Dearest father of Normand (Laura), Gisele (John), grandfather of Mathieu (Michele) and Maxine (Austin).

One of 10 children, Frank leaves behind his sisters Estelle Cameron (late Mac) of Strathroy, Jeanine Chenier (late Claude) of Sudbury and his brothers Herve (late Suzanne) of Espanola and Richard (Francoise) of Belleville. He is predeceased by siblings Gabrielle Yocom (late Jim), Ronald (late Theresa), Bernadette Laurin, Maurice (late Noella) and Roland (late Caroline).

Frank worked most of his career as Business Superintendent for the Roman Catholic Separate School Board in Blind River.  He was a long-time parishioner and Treasurer for the Paroisse Ste-Famille church and for many years he volunteered for the Blind River Food Bank and prepared income tax for Canada Revenue Agency.  He was also the Chairman of the Hospital Committee for the construction of the new hospital.

He was a proud and active 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus council 6096 and a member of Club Richelieu.

As per Frank’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.

We wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to the staff at North Shore Health Network – Blind River for the care and compassion expressed in these difficult times.

Donations to one of the following in Frank’s memory are appreciated:  North Shore Health Network – Blind River at www.nshn.care or the Blind River Food Bank.
