Albert Maas of Bruce Mines passed away peacefully at ARCH Hospice in Sault Ste. Marie at the age of 91. Predeceased by his wife, Elsie Rockefeller, his son Daniel Maas, his parents Albert Maas and Shirley French, his siblings Phyllis, Carlyle and Margaret. Albert is survived by his sons Jamie Maas (Dale), Jody Maas (Catherine), cherished granddaughter Abigail Maas and sisters Charlene Robitaille and Karen Murray (Raymond) and brother Edward Maas (Susan). Albert will be missed by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters, sister and brother-in-law.
Albert (Ab) was born in Hamilton, Ontario where he and his wife raised their family. He was so gifted with his hands which showed through his woodworking skills, crafting beautiful keepsakes well into his retirement. Ab was an avid reader and proud of his family history. He loved all animals great and small. We would like to think that Ab left this world riding off into the sunset on the horse he always wanted, being the cowboy he always wanted to be.
We will miss you Ab. We love you.
Per Albert’s request there will be no services. Cremation has taken place.
