Greg Laurenceson, 77, of Elliot Lake, Ontario, on October 14, 2024.Born in Ingersoll, Greg owned a successful bookstore in London for over 25 years before retiring and moving to Elliot Lake to enjoy the north before his health failed.

He taught t'ai chi for many years, both in London and Elliot Lake. He was a  published poet, a skilled trapper and an experienced outdoorsman and fisher who tied his own flies. A member of a very small immediate family and very large extended family, Greg is predeceased by his parents, Jack Laurenceson of Port Hope, Ontario and Lil Messenger Laurenceson originally from England. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia, whose soulmate he was for 44 years, and will be very missed by his father-in-law, Bruce Barr, and his brothers and sisters in law, Rodney Barr, Michael and Rosaline Barr, and Lynn Barr and Bill Gray.

Greg touched the lives of many people in his wanderings through life. He had a gentle soul with a core of strength that got him through the many challenges he faced. He was a beautiful man. Memorial donations may be made to Larry,s Place 185 Mississauga Ave. Elliot lake,On,P5A 1E3. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Alternative Funeral Services.
