(September 9, 1937 – March 7, 2019) - It's with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving husband and father Gary John Fluke at the SAH on March 7, 2019 at the age of 81. He proudly wore the title of Papa and Big Papa, was always quick to help a friend in need and fiercely supported all his family with the deepest love. He will be sadly missed as our source of love, knowledge, ideas and wisdom. Son of the late John Dalton Fluke and Lillian Pearl McIntyre. Loving husband of Clare, father of Dalton  (June), Sheena Smith (Chris Troch), Shaun, Karl Zwirner (Jennifer) and Natalie Zwirner. Brother of the late Dolores Hitchinson (Robert), the late Robert Fluke (Patricia), David Fluke (Lia) and Penny Fluke-Kendrick. Proud Papa of Justin, Jessi (Lee), Garry (Danielle), Meagan (Brien), Sasha (Eddie), Britney (Derek), Tessa, Connor, Tanya (Marvin), Katie, Ava, Patrick (Mandy), Amanda, Alayna, Travis, Joshua, Nathan and Grayson. As he told his great grandkids, “I'm Big Papa”. He was a proud Big Papa of Chase, Blake, Madisyn, Holden, Kinley, Emma, Kenzie, Hunter, Harlyn, Andrew, Jesse, Emily, Emmie, PJ and James. Great, Great Papa to Elijah. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Special Uncle Buck to Kim (Martin), John, Chris (Tammy), Tara, Justine and Elliot.  Papa loved cars and wood. He was a wonderful home builder/designer and took great pride in working on his 53 MG and his latest 67 VW Bug project. He always had a tool in his hands and his creative mind never stopped working on his amazing projects that we are sure he will continue upstairs. Papa was our go-to guy for tons of information, how to do something, or where to find something that no one else could locate. We lost our most amazing resource. Sadly missed by his furry friends Mikey and Molly.

In lieu of flowers, donations to “Janet's Warriors” or the Thessalon Hospital Auxiliary would be greatly appreciated by the family. A celebration of Gary’s amazing life will be held at the IOOF Hall in Thessalon, Ontario on Friday, March, 15 2019 from 1pm to 4pm.
