We are heartbroken that our son Max passed away suddenly on Monday August 26. He was only 17 years old.
Max was a funny, charming, and charismatic boy that could find humor everywhere he looked. He had a quick wit and an infectious laugh. He was an enthusiastic guitarist and played with the CASS high school band. He loved playing for an audience, it could be 1 or many. This year he was able to play with his bandmates/best friends at Go North Music Festival. Max loved most genres of music but metal was his true passion. He would practice for hours and was always saying “mom, come listen to this sick riff”. For his Gr. 12 grad gift his mom took him to see Pantera and Metallica, a dream concert.
Max’s star burned fast and bright. He will be deeply missed by his dad Guy, his mom Dawn, older sister Gwen, younger sister Annie, grandma’s and grandpa’s, aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts and uncle’s, friends and his girlfriend Quinn.

We love you Max and we will miss you greatly.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday August 31, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm at Laird Hall on Pumpkin Point Road, Laird Township. Max’s parents encourage those that have band t-shirts to wear them in honour of him. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the CASS music program.
