Elliot Lake’s 'welcome sign' now has the word 'Aanii' added to it from the Ojibwe language of the Anishinaabe meaning “Hello”. The representatives from the city and from Serpent River First Nation will be on-hand at the Miners Memorial on June 21 at noon to raise the First Nation flag in a special ceremony.
