Elliot Lake Fire Department responds to a fire at 50 Roman Ave.
Fire Chief John Thomas announced today that on Sept. 24, 2024 at approximately 10:21 p.m., the Elliot Lake Fire Department received a call for a working fire at a vacant building on Roman Avenue.
Upon arrival on scene, the fire department crew reported heavy smoke and flames showing. Crews worked all night to get the fire under control but heavy damage was done to the building. Estimated damage is unknown at this time. Fire crew is on scene and will be conducting an investigation.
