The Elliot Lake House 8-Ball League crowned its top three teams of the fall session.
Chalkeyed captured top spot and a prize of $4,320, according to league organizer Joanna Moggy and administrator Darin Moggy after the final playoffs were held last evening.
The league has seen some changes over the season with its move from the Moose Lodge to the Clean Break Bar owned and operated by the couple and pandemic protocols in place.
The fall session was shortened due to COVID-19 restrictions. The result was the league was unable to complete its 30-week spring and fall session.
Placing second in the league was the Balls of Fire team which won $3,456. In third place was the Hustlers team picking up an $864 win.
Players on the Chalkeyed team are captain Lee Simpson-Johnson, co-captain Leslie Boulrice, Stephen Nehwegahbow, Morris (Bud) Simpson, Chris Simpson-Johnson, Kyle Squires, Murphy Rickard, and John Smith.
Team Balls of Fire is made up of captain Dave Arnold, co-captain Daniel Burns, Andy Bernard, Kurt Marshall, Don Bamford, Ken Campbell, and Mitch Charette.
Team Hustlers consists of captain Melissa Hodder, co-captain Jonathan Clarke, Dan Wawia, Ernie Clarke, Zack Girard, Sarah Pearse, Loraine Folz, and Carissa Thorne.
The New session Begins this Monday, Oct. 26, 2020 with 16 teams four teams playing Monday through Thursday evenings with pandemic protocols in place.
“We are an amateur league that plays like a professionals in a friendly fun environment, a place to meet people and enjoy the game of pool," say organizers.
