Sudbury health unit advising of possible low-risk exposure to COVID-19 on GOVA bus

Any passenger who rode GOVA route 1 main line in the morning of April 7 is advised to monitor themselves for symptoms

Public Health Sudbury & Districts is advising the public of a potential low-risk exposure to COVID-19 for passengers on GOVA bus Route 1 Main Line between 8:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7. 

During this time, the bus (#763) departed from and returned to the Downtown Transit Hub at 9 Elm St.

Any passenger that rode GOVA bus Route 1 Main Line between these times is advised to follow public health guidance:

  • Monitor yourself for symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days following the bus ride
  • If you develop symptoms, isolate yourself from others and get tested for COVID-19
  • If you do not have symptoms, testing and self-isolation is not required

If needed, COVID-19 testing appointments can be arranged through the Health Sciences North Assessment Centre.

The preferred option is to request an appointment online through Health Sciences North or call 705-671-7373 during regular business hours.

Note that anyone identified by Public Health as a high-risk close contact will be contacted directly by Public Health Sudbury & Districts.
