On Feb. 13, students, staff and friends of École Catholique Georges Vanier (Elliot Lake) celebrated Mardi Gras with a pancake breakfast.
Students gathered to enjoy food prepared by members of the community's Knights of Columbus with the support of volunteers.
Mardi Gras heralds the start of Lent the following day. Through this activity, students discovered the meaning of Lent and the importance of taking action and making certain choices before the arrival of Easter.
