As part of Truth and Reconciliation Week, students from École Saint-Joseph and École secondaire catholique Jeunesse-Nord in Blind River enjoyed an enriching cultural experience earlier on Monday.
The students gathered on the grounds of a nearby school to take part in the Blind River Community Schools’ Pow-Wow.
This was an opportunity for students and staff to take part in celebrations to reflect on and acknowledge the history of missing children, victims and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.
Chi-Miigwetch to the organizers and volunteers for this important cultural event for truth and reconciliation.
