Science North's summer science camps open for registration

Age groups vary from 4 to 11 with camps being offered across northern Ontario

'Camps spark natural curiosity and inspire a love for science,' organization says.

Registration for Science North Summer Science Camps is now open in Elliot Lake and surrounding areas, including Sault Ste. Marie, Blind River, Desbarats, and Wawa.

Camps are also taking place at an additional communities across northern Ontario, the educational organization said in a release.

Since 1987, Science North has offered educational summer science camp experiences to over 30,000 children ages 4 to 11 across Ontario. 

"Through engaging activities and workshops, Science North’s camps spark natural curiosity and inspire a love for science," the organization said.

"From nature-themed camps to animal adventures to technology-based programming, there will surely be a camp that appeals to everyone!"

Summer Science Camps in Elliot Lake are offered Aug. 11 to 15.

They also are offered in surrounding communities:

  • Blind River –  Aug. 18–22
  • Sault Ste. Marie – July 2–Aug. 29
  • Wawa – July 7–11
  • Desbarats – Aug. 5–8

Age groups vary from 4 to 11 depending on the community, Science North said.
