Parks staff turns lightning-struck tree into rustic benches for public use

ElliotLakeToday received the following message and photo from the City of Elliot Lake, showcasing work that city staff have done repurposing a damaged tree into two rustic benches:

The City’s Parks Team did a fantastic job of reclaiming a tree that was struck by lightning and transforming it into two beautiful benches.

What amazing craftsmanship!

You can view these at the corner of Highway 108 and Manitoba Rd.
