One new wildfire is being reported in Ontario’s Northeast Region Monday.
The 0.1 hectare fire south of Algonquin Park on the end of a peninsula on the right side of Wolf Lake started Sunday. It is already out.
With the season winding down, daily reports are no longer being issued.
This was the only fire reported since the last update on Thursday, October 24.
Currently, only one fire is active in the region. It is being observed.
“The fire hazard is low across the Northeast Region,” said Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services. “Areas of Pembroke and Tweed have a moderate fire hazard.”
The next report is expected on Thursday, October 31.

There was one new wildland fire confirmed in the Northeast Region since the last update late afternoon on Thursday, October 24:
- Bancroft 10 (BAN010) was a 0.1 hectare and is now out. It was located on the end of a peninsula on the right side of Wolf Lake.
At the time of this update, there is one active wildland fire in the Northeast Region which is being observed.
The fire hazard is low across the Northeast Region. Areas of Pembroke and Tweed have a moderate fire hazard.

Follow Ontario’s Outdoor Burning Regulations
This fall, Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services would like to remind the public to use caution when performing any outdoor burning. In order to dispose of yard waste and woody debris, we encourage you to use methods such as composting or using your local landfill. If you must burn, follow Ontario’s Outdoor Burning Regulations.
Fires are to be ignited no sooner than two hours before sunset and are to be extinguished no later than two hours after sunrise. Always have tools/water adequate to contain the fire at the site. Know the rules for safe outdoor burning; consult the full set of Outdoor Burning Regulations.
