Newly-appointed Elliot Lake councillor Sandy Finamore was sworn in at Monday’s council meeting by Mayor Dan Marchisella. Finamore replaces former councillor Connie Nykyforak who resigned from the post in mid-March. The new councillor was named chair of the city’s recreation standing committee as one of her first official functions. (photo by Kris Svela)
