Golf enthusiasts in Elliot Lake are in for a treat as Mulligan’s Golf prepares to swing open its doors on Jan. 31. The new indoor golf simulator promises to provide an exhilarating year-round golfing experience for residents in the community, which has a notable golf following but only a limited outdoor season.
Mulligan’s Golf is the brainchild of local entrepreneur Kameron Sauro, who recognized the challenges faced by golfers in this retirement community.
“Elliot Lake has a vibrant golf culture, but with only four to five months of favourable weather, many avid golfers miss out on the sport during the long winter months,” Sauro explained. “I wanted to create a space where people could enjoy golf all year round, regardless of the weather.”
The state-of-the-art golf simulator features advanced virtual golf technology designed to accommodate players of all skill levels.
“Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or a novice, the facility seeks to enhance the enjoyment and accessibility of the game,” said the owner.
The indoor environment not only offers a less physically demanding experience but also facilitates a faster-paced game, making it a suitable option for busy individuals seeking to partake in a round of golf.
Mulligan’s Golf will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the exception of Mondays. Situated at 289 Hillside Dr. S., Unit B, Reservations are currently being accepted, and interested parties may secure their time by contacting 705-261-GOLF. The facility is designed to promote improvement in the game, providing tools and resources tailored to all levels.
The pricing structure is both straightforward. Simulator rentals are available at a rate of $40 per hour (plus HST), allowing for a maximum of four players per hour. For those who do not possess their own clubs, club rentals can be obtained for $20 (plus HST).
The owner will also host a golf league open to all, fostering competition among local players for a nominal weekly fee, in addition to simulator rental fees.
As the grand opening approaches, Sauro has expressed enthusiasm regarding the positive influence that Mulligan’s Golf will exert on the town of Elliot Lake.
“We have established an environment where individuals can connect through their passion for golf, enhance their skills, and enjoy the game regardless of the season,” he remarked.
