*************************
The Harvest Kitchen food security program in Elliot Lake officially resumes Oct. 2.

Every Monday and Wednesday 100 meals will be served from 11 a.m till 1 p.m. at the Elliot Lake Granite Sport and Social Club located at 55 Hillside Drive South.

This volunteer run initiative is excited to be returning for its third season of serving free or ‘pay what you can’ meals to our community.

Everyone is always welcome. There is no special criteria to access the program and it is open to anyone who would like a healthy and hearty meal.

We also encourage anyone curious about our program or interested in donating to come check us out and enjoy a delicious meal.

Last year, the Harvest Kitchen served 3,107 meals in 22 weeks from December 2023 to end of April 2024.

Thanks to Lyle’s No Frills, Paul Noad, The Trifecta Experience, The Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank, ELNOS, FSMG Inc. and Wonder Independent for working together to support our community. We are also so grateful for the continued support of the Elliot Lake Granite Sport and Social Club and thank them for seeing the importance of our program and for sharing their space as a community hub.

Interested in volunteering? We are looking for friendly and compassionate people to join our team.
