For the second of two weeks on the ice, Blind River forward, Wyatt Gibson, is one of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL)'s three stars of the week.

The second-year forward is credited as a key cog in each of the Beavers’ two victories over the weekend.

Gibson a Pelham, Ontario, native followed his first goal against Sudbury with a primary assist on the deciding effort in a victory Saturday.

On Sunday, the 20-year-old played his first two-goal game in league action. Gibson's second goal - the difference-maker goal over Elliot Lake - sealed his pick as one of this week's NOJHL stars.

Soo Thunderbird defenceman Bryan Fenlon, a 20-year-old Saultite, demonstrated a solid presence at both ends of the ice, allowing him to hand out four assists over two nights of play, giving him a pair of two-helper nights and a NOJHL star.

Jordan Mayo, a forward for Iroquois Falls Storm, played his debut game Saturday. The 16-year-old from Kingston took only four minutes and 39 seconds to score a hat-trick in the second period of play against Kirkland Lake with the fourth goal being the game-winner.
