The school community of École catholique Georges Vanier in Elliot Lake takes great pride in the success of its students. School staff and families congratulate Trinity Chapman and Chanelle Regimbal who graduated from Gr. 8 at the end of June 2020. Both students are among the hundreds of students who completed their elementary education in French since the school was first created 50 years ago. They will pursue their learning adventure at the high school level.

”We take great pride in their accomplishments and wish them much success in their future plans. Both Trinity and Chanelle displayed much resilience during the 2019-2020 school year. We are confident that they will tap into the wealth of knowledge they have acquired at École catholique Georges Vanier and will remain outstanding and well-rounded citizens who are proud to be Catholic and Francophone and are ready to take their place in society. Our school has seen many students become strong community leaders – without a doubt, Trinity and Chanelle will contribute to the Elliot Lake community in the years to come and will continue to shine,” said Mr. Hassan Azzi, Principal at École catholique Georges Vanier.

"We congratulate Georges Vanier graduating students for having drawn on their technological skills with such success and for showing resourcefulness, tenacity and resilience. Through this effort and their ability to surpass themselves and meet new challenges, Chanelle and Trinity were able to pursue their learning at home and acquire life-long knowledge and skills,” added Mr. Paul Henry, Director of Education at Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon.

The school also celebrated the Kindergarten graduating class. These young students are all avid learners and are looking forward to starting Gr. 1 in September at École catholique Georges Vanier. Congratulations to our younger graduates Alexie Landriault, Arielle Cloutier, Chantale Charette, Charlee Young, Chloe Shoup Denis, Elliott Trick, Jaxxen Sopher, Kaiden-James Pitre, Lucas Blanchet, Madison Duguay, Myla Grant and Vera Belisle. You have all been outstanding students and we are looking forward to welcoming you to Gr. 1 in September.
