Freezing rain warning in effect for:
  • Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake
  • Blind River - Thessalon
  • Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island

Freezing rain early tonight.

Periods of rain and freezing rain have developed over the area. The rain and freezing rain will last for a few hours before changing to snow or freezing drizzle tonight.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Espanola - Killarney
  • Manitoulin Island

Significant rainfall tonight.

Rain has begun and will continue tonight. The rain will end as it changes to a brief period of snow Tuesday morning.

Rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are expected.
