The ELSS Hospitality and Tourism Specialist High Skills Major students attended fire safety training at the Elliot Lake Fire Hall.

The Specialist High Skills Major program allows students to focus on a career path that matches their skills and interests while meeting the requirements of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Captain Dave George ran a fire safety session and then welcomed the students onto the apparatus floor for hands-on fire extinguisher training and demonstrated the specialized equipment firefighters use to save property and lives.
