Elliot Lake's New Year's baby 2018 has arrived and he is wrapped in blue.
Born right on time to parents Patrick Lavoie and Danika Gauthier, they have named the newest edition Gabriel Lavoie.
He was born on Jan. 1, at 12:36 p.m weighing in at a healthy seven pounds and 14 ounces at the St. Joseph's General Hospital. The family is doing well adjusting to life with their newest addition, although baby Gabriel has an older brother, James.
Both parents are originally from Elliot Lake and although they had left the city for a while, they returned three years ago to raise their growing family.
For his birthday, baby Gabriel received a quilt from the Elliot Lake Quilt Guild. The gift was given on Jan. 2 by the organization's president Norma Cyr and member Jocelyne von Allmen.
