A group of Elliot Lake Retirement Living staff, local youth, and sports volunteers were on hand yesterday afternoon for the announcement of ELRL’s matching campaign of up to $25,000 in support of the Jamie and Jo-Ann Armstrong Arena Repair fund. The full text of a release from the Elliot Lake Retirement Living.
Elliot Lake Retirement Living is excited to extend a challenge to all of our staff, and current or past tenants to donate to the Jamie and Jo-Ann Armstrong Arena Repair fund. The Centennial Arena requires some significant structural repairs and ELRL is looking to match tenant donations up to $25,000. So for every dollar donated, ELRL will donate a dollar as well, to a maximum of $25,000.
It is ELRL’s goal to raise funds to repair and upgrade our beloved community arena, ensuring a safe and vibrant space for generations to come. Every donation that is made by a staff member, current or past tenant will be matched by ELRL, doubling the impact of their contribution. We are looking forward to coming together to preserve this essential hub for sports, recreation, and community gatherings.
To make a donation, go to elliotlake.ca/arenadonation or in person at City Hall. Make sure to check the box “Elliot Lake Retirement Living current/past tenant challenge” so we’ll know to match your donation.
