MPP MICHAEL MANTHA

Algoma-Manitoulin MPP Michael Mantha will participate in a media event on Monday, Dec. 9, at 9:30 am. At that time, Mr. Mantha will recognize four local doctors from the Elliot Lake Family Health Team who are being honoured by the Ontario College of Family Physicians (OCFP) for outstanding patient service and treatment.
The College reviewed many letters and messages from patients from across the province who wanted to acknowledge the quality care and treatment they experienced from their family physician.
MPP Mantha will be recognizing Doctors Timothy De Bortoli, Catherine Groh, Andrew Purzner and Barry Wannan at that time.
The OCFP informed MPP Mantha as follows:
"Select physicians from across Ontario being recognized by their patients and the Ontario College of Family Physicians for the outstanding care they provide.
As part of a campaign to highlight the essential role of family physicians, the Ontario College of Family Physicians asked Ontarians a simple question: ‘Tell us how your family physician has gone above and beyond for you.’
The response was overwhelming and heartfelt.
Inspired by the messages, the Ontario College of Family Physicians is honouring these family physicians in your riding:
- Dr. Andrew Purzner
- Dr. Barry Wannan
- Dr. Timothy De Bortoli
- Dr. Catherine Groh
