From February 12 to 16, students at École Saint-Joseph in Blind River enjoyed an unforgettable carnival week. During this activity-packed week, the school celebrated a number of special occasions, including the 100th day of school, the Mardi Gras bake sale, Valentine's Day and an Ash Wednesday mass.
The students all enjoyed a trip to the local community cinema to watch a film, followed by a day of skating at the arena the next day. The week ended with an outdoor bonfire where marshmallows and hot dogs were roasted, accompanied by a delicious hot chocolate.
And the winter celebration did not stop there! On February 29, grade 7 and 8 students enjoyed a cross-country ski outing with the town's mayor, Ms. Sally Hagman.
Finally, on March 5, the school opened its doors to the Blind River community for its annual Winter Tea, a warm tradition during which some students entertained guests with the presentation of musical numbers, while others served tea, coffee and desserts.
After all these great winter festivities, this dynamic school is really ready for spring!
