Dec. 27 update:
After opening for the season on Dec. 26, Mt. Dufour will be closed today and Saturday due to rain in the forecast.
Original Dec. 24 information:
Grooming was underway this morning at the Mount Dufour Ski Area as the club prepares for an opening day for downhill skiing, Boxing Day, Dec. 26.
Local equipment shops are stocked and ready for a great season that’s beginning much earlier than last year.
Mount Dufour Ski Area announcement:
“The wait is over! Please join us on your favourite local mountain this holiday season for our first day of operations of the 2024/25 season this coming Thursday, Dec. 26. We’ll be open the entire holiday break straight through until Jan. 5, and half-day ticket rates will apply.
We have Valley, Dengg’s Peak and Main Runs open, and our team is working tirelessly to get the rest of the mountain open as soon as possible.
Thank you for your support, and we’ll see you on the hill!”
