Appointment for vacant councillor's seat

Under the Municipal Act, the council must fill a vacancy within 60 days. It is expected, the decision tonight will determine who the council will appoint.

Council may choose to have the appointee take the oath of office at the next regularly scheduled council meeting, April 8, four days before the maximum allowable time.
