The Chinese Association of Greater Sudbury invites you to celebrate the Chinese Moon festival at Bell Park on Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This year there will be fun, food and family activities, including a Han Dynasty fashion show, traditional Chinese music and instruments, ethnic dances from Dai, Tibet, Mongolia and Uyghur groups from China, as well as Taiji performances and a Chinese yo-yo show. There will also be a Lion Dance and drumming performances by the Vietnamese Association of Sudbury.

Family-friendly activities will include a chance to write in Chinese calligraphy and have your name translated to Chinese, as well as create a traditional Chinese paper lantern, and more.

There will also be traditional foods normally served at a Chinese Moon Festival, including fried rice, Chinese dumplings and chicken balls, among others, all provided by local restaurants and caterers.
