Updated Aug. 5 at 1:20 p.m.: Personnel have returned to the Sudbury Courthouse after a bomb threat forced the evacuation of the building this morning. Greater Sudbury Police continue to investigate. GSPS has not said whether the threat was credible and if an actual explosive device was found in the building. Sudbury.com will update as more information becomes available.
Original story: Sudbury Courthouse on Elm Street has been evacuated following a bomb threat this morning.
Greater Sudbury Police tweeted a short time ago that there is a heavy police presence on Elm Street this morning as officers try to determine the validity of the threat.
GSPS said the threat was phoned into the courthouse this morning.

HEAVY POLICE PRESENCE - COURTHOUSE - ELM ST - Officers are currently on scene of the courthouse on Elm St after a Bomb Threat was received via phone. Officers are in the process of evacuating the building in order to determine the validity of the threat. Update to follow.
