Meghan Raddon, a Grade 12 student at École Secondaire Catholique Jeunesse-Nord (Blind River), recently won a gold medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music after achieving the best results in Canada in the Level 7 singing exam. In this practical examination, she sang four pieces of music: one in Italian, one in German, a musical comedy and a contemporary song in English.

Meghan was also tested on various vocal techniques, ear training, rhythm and sight-reading.

This young singer has been taking professional singing lessons with the Algoma Conservatory of Music in Sault Ste. Marie since only 2020. She has quickly developed her instrument and is making good progress in learning new singing techniques. Meghan is also a member of the ÉSC Jeunesse-Nord school band La Volée du Nord.

Meghan intends to pursue her passion for singing by starting a bachelor of music in September.
