The Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank received two very generous donations, earlier this week.

“Sobeys has a Community Action Fund that donated $1,500 to our Food Bank, and Elliot Lake Foodland donated $900 in gift cards,” said Food Bank president Len Kutchaw.

“These are significant donations that help us maintain our inventory of food products,” he added. “Our food bank has experienced an increase in the number of residents who need assistance. Our food and operational costs have also increased.”

“The board members of the Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank sends a sincere thank you to Sobeys and we also wish to thank and acknowledge Elliot Lake Foodland management and staff for their continued support of the Foodbank.”
